What is a CPF and why do I need one?
The CPF (Cadastro de Pessoas Físicas) is the Brazilian individual taxpayer number — an 11-digit ID issued by Receita Federal. If you are a foreigner investing in Brazil, you need a CPF to open a bank account, buy property, invest, or obtain a digital certificate. Without a valid CPF, most financial and legal transactions in Brazil are blocked.
I live outside Brazil. Can I get or fix a CPF from abroad?
Yes. The service is designed for foreigners anywhere in the world. The process is fully remote, follows Receita Federal’s official channel for residents abroad, and does not require a consulate visit.
My CPF status shows “suspensa” (suspended). What does that mean?
A suspended CPF usually means your personal data is inconsistent or incomplete in Receita Federal’s records. In most cases it can be regularized by correcting the data and submitting the right documentation. Send us your CPF number on WhatsApp and we will review your case.
My CPF was “cancelada” (canceled). Can it be recovered?
It depends on the reason for the cancellation. Many canceled CPFs can be regularized with correct documentation and a formal request to Receita Federal. Start a case review and we will tell you honestly whether your case can be fixed before you pay anything.
The name or birth date on my CPF is wrong. Can you fix it?
Yes — correcting personal data (name, birth date, mother’s name) is one of the most common cases we handle. We prepare your FCPF protocol with the correct data, review your documents, and submit the correction request to Receita Federal.
Do I need to visit a Brazilian consulate?
No. Send your request directly to Receita Federal at cpf.residente.exterior@rfb.gov.br. Consulates do not process these requests, except for corrections of CPFs they issued within the previous 90 days.
What documents will I need?
Our team will contact you on WhatsApp at +1 (305) 848-3558 and send your FCPF protocol there. Print it and sign it by hand, then reply on WhatsApp with legible copies of the signed protocol, your photo ID, a selfie holding your open ID near your face, proof of address abroad, and your payment receipt. We review everything before submitting — an incomplete file is the most common reason requests get stuck.
How long does a correction take?
Receita Federal usually processes the CPF within 10 business days. Delays can happen — processing times are set by the Brazilian authority and are outside our control.
How much does the service cost?
The regular price is $500. During our test phase we offer a promotional price of $300. Payment is via Zelle only for now. You only move forward after we review your case and confirm we can help.
What is different for an applicant under 16?
The Brazilian parent must sign the FCPF. The submission must also include the Brazilian parent’s ID document and a selfie of the parent holding their own open ID near their face — not the minor’s ID.
Is Fix My CPF part of the Brazilian government?
No. Fix My CPF is an independent private service and is not affiliated with the Brazilian government. We act as your specialist: we prepare, review, and submit your case through the official channels.
I already tried on my own and my case is stuck. Can you still help?
Yes — this is a common situation. Send us on WhatsApp everything you have so far (protocols, receipts, any answer from Receita Federal) and we will review your case and tell you the fastest way to unblock it.
